Key Idea: Order Statuses allow you to track and search for orders by workflow status. N-Vu provides four default statuses: Not Started, Processing, Shipping and Completed. You may create custom statuses for your unique workflow steps. When “Action Needed” is turned on for a custom status, that status will be included in the “Orders Needing Action” filter.
There are two types of statuses on the Order Details page:
Studio Status, which is manually updated by you when an order changes a workflow step.
Lab Status, which automatically updates products that are set to auto-fulfill through N-Vu.
How to Find Order Statuses
- Go to Orders>Activity
- Order Statuses are shown in the Status column on the Activity page
3. From an Order, click View Order Details to view and manage Statuses.
How to Set Order Statuses
From the Order Details page, click on “Update Status” to set the status for all items in an order, or set an individual line item to set a Status for a line item in an order.
How to Create New Order Statuses
- To add a custom status, click “Edit Status List” from the Status dropdown menu to add a new status.
2. Create a new Status name
3. Toggle “Requires Action” ON if you want the items in this Status to show in the Requires Action filter.
Note: This filter is triggered from the Activity screen. (See step #7)
How to Filter by Order Statuses
On the Activity screen, use a filter, or enter an order number in the Search box to find the order you want to view.
Tip: Related Orders Feature.
Client orders that are fulfilled through N-Vu can be found by clicking the “Related Orders” link. This provides simple access from an Event Site order ending in ES, to its corresponding Purchase Receipt ending in PR.
Statuses are a great way to keep track of orders. Be sure to use Activity filters to sort and find orders that require action.
